Great Review of Rosé Restaurant in Los Angeles
Last updated 1 year ago
This is pretty standard, french fare, in a nice part of town. You'll get what you expect here, which isn't always a bad thing when your expectations are set high. Make sure to make reservations, because even though we came on an off Wednesday night, this place packs up fast. Three of us had an app each, an entree each, and split two desserts and a bottle of wine. The portions appeared smaller than you expect, but were rich with flavor and depth (and the butter/oil in french cooking is quite satiating) that you are satisfied when you leave, if not exploding at the seams. Our apps were the tuna tartar and the frisee salad. The tuna tartar was delicious, a surprisingly large amount with a crostini which is a nice departure from the usual bread. I had the sea bass -absolutely delicious, perfectly moist and soft, with a lovely flavor profile. Only wish I had a touch more. My friends each had the bouillabaisse, which they devoured. We ended off with the pistachio maccaron (promptly finished with a tasty cream sauce) and the sorbet tasting. I appreciated the fact that I couldn't identify one of the flavors, making it more interesting than the standard mango, peach, berry combos. In the end, the atmosphere was cool, service very good and friendly, the company was great and the bill was reasonable. I'd come here again for a nice romantic outing.
